From the Cook

All of the recipes here are a collection of things that I like to cook and taste. Some come from my Mum’s cooking, that I have tried to replicate,  others come from family and friends. There are some dishes that I have eaten at restaurants and have just had to come home and try to cook, and then there are some that represent places I have travelled to, and the  people I have met.

Of course there are also “my” dishes that emanate from cook books, internet and television. Most have developed over time into what they are now, and a lot will develop further. As you delve into some of them, I would expect you to fiddle, customise, and improve them to suit you and your family’s liking.

I make no apologies for any recipes that I have pinched or plagiarised from family & friends (there are many). In fact it should be taken as a measure of love and respect.
