Margherita Pizza

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup passata

1 clove garlic chopped

grated mozzarella

8 truss cherry tomatoes

2 tbs finely shredded basil

 

 

The purest pizza is also the simplest one.

USE QUITE RIPE CHERRY TOMATOES WITH THIS PIZZA, AND BECAUSE THERE ARE SO FEW INGREDIENTS - MAKE SURE THEY ARE THE BEST YOU CAN GET.

THE SIMPLEST OF PIZZAS, THAT LETS THE TOMATO AND CHEESE SHINE

 

Roll out some of the base dough to fit your pan.

Lat down your base on a pre-heated non stick pizza tray. Spread the base with the combined pasatta and garlic, going out to within a centimeter from the edge, then sprinkle mozzarella on top. Slice the cherry tomatoes and arrange on top of the mozzarella.

Cook for 10 minutes, then remove and sprinkle the shredded basil over it lightly.

Return to the oven for a further 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

 

Six decent slices per pizza.
